ServiceNow unveiled AI Passport on 15 October, describing it as a way to manage enterprise AI agents' access rights in real time.

Enterprise agents can process customer records, update systems and invoke external tools. The proposed management layer checks whether an agent is authorized to perform a particular action at that stage of a workflow.

Such controls may reduce the risk of an agent using unnecessary systems or acting without authorization. ServiceNow also announced improved visibility into AI systems and expanded cost monitoring.

This is a vendor announcement. Its security benefits and interoperability with other systems will need to be assessed in real deployments and independent evaluations.
