Figma Agent brings an AI assistant to interface design
Figma is introducing its design-assistance Agent feature alongside an unusual dance film promoting its new tool.
Kuva: Figma
Figma Agent helps designers sketch interfaces, create screens from text prompts and edit the contents of design files.
A Creative Bloq article published on October 15 also discusses Figma's new campaign film, which portrays the design process through dance and stage design. The film was created by the IVERSON agency.
Rather than presenting a technical feature list, the film emphasizes the emotions and collaboration involved in creative work. This sets the campaign apart from many AI product launches.
The Agent's impact on designers' real workflows will depend on how editable its generated screens are and how well they meet project requirements.
